La Sauque

The trip to Dublin with the European class was full of great moments. We visited musems, historical buildings and two stadiums. As we went everywhere on foot we were often rather tired! We really enjoyed the visit to Trinity College, which gave us a pretty good idea of life on an Irish campus.Thanks to Mrs Leclercq, Mr Hughes and Mrs Minot we even had a typical Irish breakfast in a pub while watching the rugby match and making fun of Mr Hughes. I would say that this group is now like a big family, each trip bringing us closer together and creating a wonderful atmosphere. We would all like to thank our teachers and La Sauque for the organisation of this memorable visit. Indeed on the last evening every one of us made a little speech ( in English ofcourse! ) describing our stay and thanking our wonderful teachers. It was all very moving and  Mathilde cried.

Le voyage à Dublin de la section Anglophone a été riche en bons moments. Nous avons visité des musées, des monuments historiques et deux stades. Nous allions partout à pieds et de ce fait nous étions souvent relativement fatigués. Nous avons vraiment beaucoup aimé la visite à la Trinity College qui nous a donné un assez bon aperçu de la vie sur un campus irlandais. Grâce à Mme Leclercq, M. Hughes et Mme Minot, nous avons même pu partager un petit déjeuner typiquement irlandais en regardant le match de rugby et en nous moquant de M. Hughes. Je dirais que ce groupe est désormais comme une grande famille, chaque voyage nous rapprochant un peu plus les uns les autres et créant une atmosphère formidable. Nous voudrions tous remercier nos professeurs et la Sauque pour avoir organisé ce voyage inoubliable. En effet, le dernier soir, chacun de nous a fait un petit discours (en anglais évidemment !) pour décrire notre séjour et remercier nos merveilleux professeurs. C’était très émouvant et Mathilde a pleuré.

“Today, the historic Croke Park is an immense stadium intended only for Gaelic football and Hurley, two breathtaking Irish sports. We tried both of them at the GAA Museum in the stadium and it’s not easy! The week spent in Dublin was very representative of the wonderful atmosphere  in the European section.”

«I'll never forget when we went to a pub early on a Saturday morning for a typical Irish breakfast and to watch the rugdy match, France / England (Rugby World Cup). France won! We were excited, everybody singing together and the atmosphere was really cool. »
