In la Sauque, the library is called “L’Espace Ausone” (“The place of Ausone” – after Decimius Magnus Ausonius – a Roman poet from Bordeaux). It is 300 square meters big and has 40 work stations for pupils’ and teachers’ use.
There are three classrooms with I.T. equipment (Press Kiosk, functional library, documentary resources). This can be consulted online:

We offer 14 computer stations to students that can be used to carry out some research projects. Right next to the library, the I.T. classroom named after Chaplin, has 25 computer stations.

Ausone
3 books per student :
– 3 weeks for fictions
– 1 week for documentaries
– 24 hours for encyclopaedias and dictionnaries
The student must be responsible and take responsability in the case of loss, or damage. The period of time must be respected, but can be prolonged if necessary.
How it works
Access to the library is not authorised without the presence of a teacher or the librarian. A teacher can reserve the library for a class, and in this case, it is closed to other students.
When they come, the students must :
• Sign up in their prep room with the surveillor
• Ask permission to use the computers and to print a document
• Ask the librarian or person in charge before borrowing or giving back a book
Terms of use
So that everyone may work efficiently in the library, we ask all students to respect these rules :
• No food or drinks in the library
• Phones must be turned off
• Tables and chairs must go back to where they were when the bell rings
• Computers stay on after use (just log out)
• Any talking or moving must be discreet
Any questions about books or computers can be asked to the librarian.
